WELCOME
In 2011 Brad Steele Doweidt and Leah Faith Doweidt purchased a 5 acre farm with a house, barn and an idea.  That idea was to grow our own food without chemicals, hormones or antibiotics.  While there is great debate about the affects of using these products We simply want to step back and grow wholesome food sustainably with integrity.

Combining our middle names, Steele Faith Farm was created.  Our plans are to develop a diversified, sustainable, ethical and humane farm.  We will not put chemicals into the land or in our food.  Our livestock will be treated with kindness and given environments that allow them to behave naturally.

We encourage you to watch us as we begin this endeavor.  Come be a part of the farm.

Beans, Beets, Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Cucumbers, Daikon Radish, Eggplant, Lettuce, Onions, Peppers (Sweet and Hot),  Potatoes, Pumpkins, Squash (Summer and Winter varieties),Snap Peas,  Sweet Corn, Swiss Chard, Tomatoes, Watermelon and of course Zucchini.

Fruits-
We are making plans to create a fruit orchard with a combination of fruit trees, shrubs and plants.
Blueberries, Strawberries, Sweet Cherries, Pears and an upper mid-west native tree called a Pawpaw.

Herbs-
Our herbs are picked fresh and compliment many of our other products.

Eggs-
We have a small flock of laying hens that are provided either free-range or given access to the outdoors depending on the season. We also have a few ducks we collect eggs from, for those who prefer them for baking.

Poultry-
New for 2013, Steele Faith Farm will have meat birds available.  All birds will be raised on pasture with plenty of fresh air and sunshine.  We will have production broilers as well as heritage fryers available. Put your name on the list to get your our fresh poultry.

Pork-
We raise 100% Berkshire pigs on pasture from Spring to Fall. While on pasture, they are provided a custom feed mix that is 100% plant based and free of medications or animal byproducts.

Beef-
Grass Fed, 100% Jersey steers raised on a combination of pasture and hay.  Jersey cattle have a high degree of marbling, even on a grass diet.  They have higher levels of Omega 3's and CLA's than any other breed, and they consistently score higher for taste and tenderness.

Anything we left out? We would like to encourage your suggestions and ideas, give us a call or send us an email.

In the spring we will have seedlings available.  These are the same seedlings we are planting in our gardens.  So, if you would like to try your hand at growing your own salad, salsa or tomato sauce be sure to come out to the farm and see what we have to offer.
Steele Faith Farm is a transitional organic farm that uses alternative farming methods such as No-Till, cover cropping, B2E and Bio-Intenstive.  We use sustainable and permaculture techniques to rejuvenate the soil.  We do not use any commercial pesticides or fertilizers.  Our livestock are raised in a caring environment without the use of preventative medications or hormones.  We invite you to visit us and learn more about our farming practices.
